Colony Velez is an award-winning author, speaker, and founder of Purposeful Peace Ministry Inc. A native of Tampa, Florida, Colony has called Charles Town, West Virginia home for over 25 years. She has been happily married to her husband, Daniel, for 25 years, and together they have raised three wonderful adult children.
In the fall of 2022, Colony launched Purposeful Peace Ministry with a mission to help women discover the peace that only God can give and to empower them to walk boldly in their God-given purpose. Through conferences, workshops, mentoring, and her writing, Colony passionately encourages women of all ages to rise above life’s challenges with resilience and faith.
Colony is the co-author of two inspiring books: The Resilient, Adjusting My Crown and The Resilient Two, Rise Beyond. Both works reflect her commitment to uplifting women through stories of perseverance, healing, and divine purpose.
A passionate traveler, Colony is on a personal journey to visit all 50 states by the time she turns 50. Her love for travel and culture fuels her appreciation for the beauty and diversity of God's creation and people from all walks of life.
